Before the Khmer New Year, we usually have an Annual Trip for our children and staff. The Cambodian Khmer New Year is always celebrated in April, so in the first or second week of April, we always arrange a trip to either Angkor Wat Temple or the beach. It not only allows our children to explore Cambodian culture but also allows them to enjoy their experience around the country.

Due to Covid-19, we were unable to take our yearly holiday in 2020 and 2021. Fortunately, during the year of 2022 we could make our trip again given that the Covid-19 situation in Cambodia has greatly improved. Almost 100% of Cambodian people have received their 2nd, 3rd or 4th doze of Covid-19 vaccines so that the country could be fully re-opened. Recently, the number of infections has been low from day to day.

On the 4th and 5th of April, we organized a two-day, one-night vacation to Sihanouk Ville. We departed from the center very early in the morning (at 3:30 a.m) and arrived at the beach at 9:30 a.m. The excursion was a huge hit with both the kids and the staff. Some of our older children, who have completed their life skills training and are working and living independently, were invited to join us. Here are some pictures from our trip.
